Paws in the Sand Adoption Application

Thank you for your interest in adopting from Paws in the Sand Cat Rescue! Our adoption fees are $175 for kittens under a year and $125 for cats one year and older. We offer a special 2-for-1 adoption fee. Each adoption includes spay/neuter, first round of vaccinations, deworming, and flea treatment.

Adopters must be at least 18 years old.
A valid photo ID is required.
Renters should confirm their pet policy, including any deposit or additional rent requirements.
If living with a roommate or parents, their approval for the adoption is needed.
Adopters must be ready and able to commit time and resources for the cat's care and medical needs.
If a kitten is adopted before being spayed/neutered and fully vaccinated, the adopter will coordinate with Paws in the Sand to complete these services once the kitten reaches at least two pounds or eight weeks of age, all included with the adoption fee. If the adopter chooses to take the kitten to their own vet, Paws in the Sand will not be responsible for covering those costs, however the adoption application remains in place.

I understand that the adoption process includes a review of my application by the adoption coordinator, and in some cases may require a home visit.

I understand that Paws in the Sand Cat Rescue reserves the right to decline the adoption of any cat or kitten.

I understand that Paws in the Sand reserves the right to reclaim the cat/kitten should we believe any terms of the adoption agreement have been broken.

I certify that I will ensure the kitten is spayed/neutered and vaccinated if adopted prior. The adopter will work with Paws in the Sand to complete these services, included in the adoption fee, once the kitten reaches at least two pounds or eight weeks of age. If the adopter chooses to use their own veterinarian, Paws in the Sand will not be responsible for covering those costs and the non-refundable adoption fee will remain in place.

By signing this application, I acknowledge that once the adoption is finalized, all financial responsibility for the cat or kitten, including veterinary care and treatment for any illnesses, becomes my sole responsibility. Paws in the Sand Cat Rescue is not liable for any medical expenses after adoption.

If, for any reason, you are unable to keep the cat you have adopted, we require that you contact us immediately. We will take the cat back into our care, no questions asked.

Under no circumstances should the cat be surrendered to a shelter, abandoned, or rehomed without our knowledge and consent.

By signing this contract, you agree to return the cat to Paws in the Sand Cat Rescue should the adoption not work out.

By signing below, I confirm that all information provided in this adoption application and agreement is accurate and truthful to the best of my knowledge. I understand that providing false or misleading information may result in the denial or termination of the adoption.

I further agree to comply with all terms and conditions outlined in this contract, recognizing that they are designed to ensure the safety and well-being of the adopted cat.
